Brick Repointing & Repairs

Careful brick repointing, localised repairs and mortar colour matching for traditional and modern properties.

We assess the existing brickwork and mortar before recommending a finish that suits the property.

Cement or lime mortar

For suitable modern brickwork, a traditional sand-and-cement mortar may be appropriate. Older or softer bricks often benefit from a more breathable lime mortar. We choose the mortar to suit the building rather than applying one mix to every wall.

Mortar colours and finishes

The appearance of the joint matters. By choosing suitable sands and, where appropriate, compatible pigments, we can work towards a mortar colour that complements the existing brickwork. We also discuss the joint profile and finish.

Repairs and preparation

Where joints have failed, we carefully remove loose or unsuitable mortar before repointing. Damaged bricks can be assessed for localised replacement or repair.
